2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT (continued)

11. New York Jets, Jarvis Jones, DE/OLB, Georgia. I expect Sanchez to lose his starting job to Tebow at some point this season. I think this Jets locker room is too toxic to win many games anyway, so don't be suprised if there picking in the top 10 or so picks. Jarvis Jones is by far the best player available and feels a big need at rush linebacker.

12. Tennesse Titans, Xavier Rhodes, CB, Flordia State. The Titans will miss Cortland Finnegan this season, but Xavier Rhodes is a very talented replacement.

13. Kansas City Chiefs, Tyler Bray, QB, Tennesse. If Bray declares for the 1023 NFL Draft, he could easily be a top 10 pick, However, most teams expected to be picking in the top 10 have some kind of young QB in place, so Bray kind of falls here. The Chiefs are pretty stacked at every position but QB, so Bray makes a ton of sense.

14. St. Louis Rams (from Washington,) Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State. The Rams desperatley need a number one reciever to help out Sam Bradford. I'm pretty sure Bradford would be a fan of this pick.

15. San Diego Chargers, DJ Fluker, OT, Alabama. The Chargers signed Jared Gaither to a 4 year deal this offseason, but he's injury-prone. Meanwhile, right tackle Jeromey Clary shouldn't be starting.

16. Dallas Cowboys, Jonathan Hankins, NT, Ohio State. Many people thought the Cowboys would go with Dontari Poe this year because Poe would allow Jay Ratliff to move to defensive end in place of Marcus Spears. Well, the Cowboys can do that this year with Hankins.

17. Atlanta Falcons, Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina. Michael Turner doesn't have much left in the tank and Jacquizz Rodgers isn't big enough to be a full time back. Lattimore would be a nice addition to this offense.

18. Philadelphia Eagles, Ricky Wagner, OT, Wisconsin. The Eagles signed Demetress Bell this offseason to essentially a 1 year deal, so if his knee flares up again and Jason Peteres isn't making good progress coming off his torn achillies, the Eagles will be looking for a left tackle.

19. Buffalo Bills, Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma. I think the Bills will contend for the playoffs this offseason, but Ryan Fitzpatrick's limitations will hold them back. It's time for a new QB in Buffalo.

20. New Orleans Saints, Chris Faulk, OT, LSU. I think the Saints will miss out on the playoffs because they will miss their head coach Sean Payton and had no first or second round picks this past draft. Oh, and the Drew Bress contract frustrations will have some effect. Chris Faulk would provide an upgrade over current right tackle Jermon Bushrod, who is a free agent next year anyway.

21. Carolina Panthers, Bennie Logan, DT, LSU. The Panthers ignored the defensive tackle position in this past draft, but Id oubt they will do so again.

22. Cincinnati Bengals, Eric Reid, S, LSU. The Bengals have almost nothing at the position so this pick makes a lot of sense. The Bengals are creating a nice secondary.

23. Denver Broncos, Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor. The Broncos need to acquire players to help Peyton Manning win now. Williams would be a great complement to Demaryius Thomas and Erick Decker.

24. San Francisco 49ers, Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame. The 49ers were linked to Coby Fleener in this past draft to give themselves a lethal 1-2 punch at tight end. The 49ers now have the oppourtunity to that again with another very talented tight end.

25. Baltimore Ravens, Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M. Left tackle Bryant McKinne is old and has problems with staying in shape whil Michael Oher has been dissapointing at right tackle. Matthews is the best player available.

26. Houston Texans, Logan Thomas, QB, Virginia Tech. I like Matt Schaub, but I don't think he has what it takes to be a top QB in this leauge. Thomas could much easily go higher than this, as a matter of fact I think he's a better prospect then Ryan Tannehill, but there isn't as much of a need at QB as their usually is.

27. Chicago Bears, Kawann Short, DT, Purdue. The Bears would have a dominant D-line with Julius Pepper, Shea McClellan and Short.

28. New York Giants, Barret Jones, G/C/OT, Alabama. Jones is the best player available and very versatile. There are many ways the Giants could use him.

29. Pittsburgh Steelers, Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame. Te'o fills one of the Steeler's few needs since the team cut James Farrior.

30. Detroit Lions, Johnny Adams, CB, Michigan State. Finally, the Lions address their need at corner, and do so with a local product.

31. Green Bay Packers, Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma. Its a shame that Nick Collins career is over due to that gruesome neck injury. The Packers will need to find a replacement.

32. New England Patriots, Jesse Williams, NT, Alabama. Vince Wilfork is getting older, so the Patriots should start grooming a successor.

Bears already have a dominant D-line, Peppers, McLeilin, Paea and Melton is a solid line, its the o-line they need addressing. If the Bears finish as high as you predict then I can see them trading up to snag a tackle like OJ Fluker, Jake Matthews or Ricky Wagner. I also believe you have Marcus Lattimore way too high and Landry Jones is a better quarterback than Tyler Bray.

@Bears already have a dominant D-line... I agree with you, but Kawan Short is also the top player available and I really wanted to slot him in the first round, so I kind of forced that pick. Selecting one of this years top offensive tackles would be a great move but like you said they will most likely have to trade up. Landry Jones is currently the better consensus player, but Bray has more potential and I'm predicting a breakout year for him, which is why I slotted him higher. There is a great chamce that Bray won't even enter this draft and could be the 1st overall pick in 2014.

2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT (CONTINUED)

11. New York Jets, Jarvis Jones, DE/OLB, Georgia. I don't expect much at all out of the Jets. I think Mark Sanchez's insecurity will end up being his down fall and I predict that Tebow will take the starting job. I would mock a QB, but I think the Jets give Tebow an oppourtunity to start again. Instead, they take the easily best player available and a dynamic pass rusher in Jones who fills a big need.

12. Tennesse Titans, Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State. The Titans will miss Cortland Finnegan in 2012. Rhodes would be a nice replacement.

13. Kansas City Chiefs, Logan Thomas, QB, Virginia Tech. The Chiefs are pretty much stacked at every position but QB. If Logan Thomas pans out, the Chiefs could easily be a contender.

14. St. Louis Rams (from the Washington Redskins,) Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State. The Rams desperatley need playmakers for Sam Bradford. I'm sure Bradford would be a fan of this pick.

15. San Diego Chargers, DJ Fluker, OT, Alabama. The Chargers signed Jared Gaither to a 4 year deal, but he's really injury-prone. Plus, right tackle Jeromey Clary should not be a starting tackle.

2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT TOP 10

1. Oakland Raiders, Matt Barkely, QB, USC. The Raiders will struggle next year, they have a new coaching staff, no first or second round picks and there changing defensive formations. Oh, and theres Carson Palmer, who is a huge question mark.

2. Minnesota Vikings, Robert Woods, WR, USC. Adrian Peterson most likely won't be a 100% this entire season. Without Peterson, the Vikings will struggle big time. They will consider a QB here, but I think that Ponder will be given another chance and the Vikings will give him a much needed recieving threat across from Percy Harvin. If Ponder pans out and Peterson is a 100% in 2013, this will be a dynamic offense.

3. Miami Dolphins, Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU. The Dolphins will struggle this year with a young QB and a terrible recieving corps and big questions on defense. Unfourtunatley for Tannehill, Robert Woods isn't available. However, the Dolphins can draft a very talented pass rusher to play across from Cameron Wake.

4. St. Louis Rams, David Amerson, CB, North Carolina State. The Rams failed to upgrade their offensive line and will have a poor recieving corps (again) so poor Sam Bradford will struggle again. There aren't any offensivr players good enough to draft here, so the Rams will have to improve their defense again. Amerson is super talented and would make for an excellent tandem with Cortland Finnegan.

5. Cleveland Browns, Keenan Allen, WR, California. The Browns will have a great run game with Trent Richardson but they desperatley need more play makers for Brandon Weeden as they have nothing outside of Greg Little. Allen is a big, talented reciever.

6. Indianapolis Colts, Sam Montgomery, DE?OLB, LSU. Dwight Freeny will be a free agent at the end of this season and the Colts will more than likely be parting ways with him. The Colts only other option across from Robert Mathis is the draft bust Jerry Hughes. The Colts will be looking at a pass rusher next April, and Montgomery is the best player available.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars, Tyrann Mathieu, CB/S, LSU. Mathieu is considered too short to be drafted this high, but since he is such an incredible talent and all of the top players here don't make much sense, Mathieu is the pick. However, if Gene Smith is fired, the Jags new GM may consider taking a QB here since Blaine Gabbert has been so dissapointing. If Smith keeps his job, he most likely will stick with Gabbert.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah. The Bucs drafted Brian Price in the second round back in 2010, but he has been a dissapointment. The Bucs will have no problem cutting him if he continues to struggle next year, so a replacment will be needed.

9. Seattle Seahawks, Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee. This is a great class for wide recievers. The Seahawks will need some help at the position because Sidney Rice is constantly injured, Mike Williams has issues with his weight and Golden Tate hasn't proved anything thus far. Hunter will also open things up in the run game, allowing Marshawn Lynch to be even more affective.

10. Arizona Cardinals, Tyler Wilson, QB< Arkansas. Tyler Wilson should be a top 5 pick, but because none of the teams picking ahead of the Cardinals have a need at the position, the Cards get a steal and a replacment for the dissapointing Kevin Kolb and the unproven John Skelton.

{ED021's Note -That is a nice mock although I think another QB could be taken in the top 10, maybe Landry Jones or Tyler Bray. Never heard of Justin Hunter so can't judge that pick but overall good job, how about expanding it to all 32 teams?}

(0)
(0)

@ED021

Thanks, I appreciate it. I was really trying to work Wilson into the top 5 and Tyler Bray into the top 10, but many teams here have young, potential franchise QBs so I couldn't mock them where I wanted to. I will try mocking all 32 teams and posting them on this site. Oh, and on Hunter, I am kind of taking a gamble here because he is coming off a torn ACL. If he can get back to his pre-injury shape, he should be a top 10 pick because of his rare skill sets. He is 6'4, 200 pounds and has torching speed to go along with his height.

{ED021's Note - I agree with you, teams like Miami and Cleveland have gambled on quarterbacks this year so it's hard to predict how actively they will seek one next draft. Oakland and Arizona are almost locks to seek a new QB but I think by next April, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Kansas and possibly Cleveland again could be searching for another QB. It looks like a deep QB class next year. Looking forward to the full mock, perhaps you should sign off so I can recognize you.}

San Francisco
Tampa Bay
Kansas City

If Mike Holmgren is fired at the end of this season, I could easily see the Browns drafting Wilson or Bray next year. If Holmgren keeps his job, I don't think he will give up on Weeden after one season given how he kept with Colt McCoy who was selected in the third round. This will be a big prove it year for Josh Freeman to see if he can be succesful with all of these new offensive acquisitions the front office made. If he struggles next year, the front office shouldn't have any problem with moving on from him. If one of these QB prospects falls to San Francisco and Harbaugh likes him, expect him to be the pick. Kansas City will certainley be looking for a QB as well to replace the limited Matt Cassel. I have kind of a sleeper QB right now in Logan Thomas out of Virginia Tech. At 6-6, 262 pounds, Thomas is a big and atheletic QB with great arm strength and reminds me a lot of Cam Newton. He needs development as a passer but it wouldn't suprise me if Thomas is a top 10 pick come April.

{ED021's Note - Forgot about Logan Thomas, definitely a sleeper, could end up at a play-off team at the back end of the draft.}

The Bengals are in serious talks with the Lions about Calvin Johnson. Awesome!!

Bengals get Johnson and 1st round pick in 2013

Lions get Brandon Thompson, 3rd round pick in 2013 and Marvin Jones

(1)
(4)

Why would the Lions want to trade their superstar wide receiver? This makes no sense in why they would do that especially after signing him to a lucrative contract.

(3)
(0)

Where did you read/hear this?

Seriously dude, whatever you're smoking, i want some of that! give up CJ and a 1st for a 3rd and 2 no names? wow must be excellent stuff

Marvin Jones is good

Thompson is good

I heard that the bears are trying to make a deal with the dolphins for jake long is this true

(0)
(6)

More than likely not. Why would the Dolphins want to trade their best o-line man anyway?

(5)
(2)

With Pouncy, Long and Martin the Fins will have the O Line everybody will wish they had in 3 years

(5)
(0)

Wouldnt be surprising. Dolphins already gift-wrapped a pro bowl player to the bears. once, they would probably do it again.

Big difference. Marshall is a head case

29 Apr 2012 19:20:35
well the lions did good in the draft, not great and not bad but good

they got the positions they needed but there were other players at those postions that i would rather have but i like that the lions got needs and not wants
-------------------------------------------
23) OL.......IOWA............RILEY RIEFF
this pick i like cause rieff was projected as a top 10 pick at one point and just dropped to the lions and they got a OL that can replace peterman as a starter or be a future starter in place of riola or backus

54) WR.......OKLAHOMA....RYAN BROYLES
well this pick was ridiculous cause there was no need for a WR and especially one this high when broyles had a knee injury that kept him out for a significant amount of time and this pick was retarded but broyles when healthy can be a good alternate to calvin and broyles is quick and athletic when healthy and also in case the MADDEN COVER CURSE happens to calvin johnson, this pick seemed good

85) CB........LAFAYETTE...DWIGHT BENTLEY
well this pick is good cause we are in need of secondary that is athletic and bentley is that and that bentley can start right away

125) LB.......OKLAHOMA...RONNELL LEWIS
well this pick could be the best the lions got and one of the best sleeper picks in the NFL cause lewis was ranked as a top 5 LB and a round 1 prospect at one point but a minor knee injury dropped his stock a little but the knee injury is not serious enough to make this pick stupid and lewis can start right away and perhaps play at DE until avril comes back or be in the group of durant and tulloch

138) LB........TEMPLE.......TAHIR WHITEHEAD
well this pick was kind of stupid cause there were better LB then whitehead available and whitehead was going to be available in the 6th round from what todd mcshay mentioned but again we got a player at a position of need that the lions are low at

148) CB.......ALBION........CHRIS GREENWOOD
well i like this pick cause i read that greenwood is a fast and has great leaping ability and he can be a decent starter but would have to fight off bentley to be a rookie starter at CB and greenwood can be a S too

196) CB.....NEW MEXICO ST..JANTE GREEN
well this pick might have been the lowest ranked player the lions drafted cause green was projected as a 7th round to undrafted free agent but i guess the lions saw something that could be a steal and again it was a player at a position of need

223) LB.....OKLAHOMA......TRAVIS LEWIS
well heres another LB that can produce well and be a potential starter and some say he can be the next james farrior and lewis was a great pick to select at this point of the draft
-------------------------------------------
UNDRAFTED FREE AGENTS:

- K.......ILLINOIS......DEREK DIMKE
needed a potential replacement for hanson

- QB.....BOISE ST.....KELLEN MOORE
well the lions needed a 3rd QB on the roster and moore was a great pickup and he may have size issues but moore is a smart QB that is good for any team and great for the lions and the lions would have a QB that knows how to wins football games....moore has some flaws but a few more good stats and getting moore might have raised the lions draft grade

- WR....HOUSTON.....PATRICK EDWARDS
well this pickup is good cause he had excellent stats in college by being a go to guy for case keenum and edwards could be a steal in the draft as well

THERE WERE A FEW OTHER FREE AGENT PICKUPS THAT THE LIONS DID AND THEY GOT (OTHER THEN THE 3 I MENTIONED):

- (2) DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
- (3) OFFENSIVE LINEMEN
- (2) LINEBACKERS
- (1) TIGHTEND
- (1) WIDE RECIEVER
- (1) SAFETY

well again the lions got needs and not wants
-----------------------------------------
** INTERESTING FACT:
THE LIONS DRAFTED/SIGNED 4 PLAYERS FROM OKLAHOMA:
RND PICK POS ... PLAYER NAME
- 2......54......WR......RYAN BROYLES
- 4......125.....LB......RONNELL LEWIS
- 7......223.....LB.......TRAVIS LEWIS
- UD..............S........SAM PROCTOR

(2)
(1)

Taking broyles in the 2nd was terrible

(2)
(0)

Cant agree with you more cause we did not need a WR, we needed a RB more then a WR which is why i wished we got lamichael james

the lions couldve had a monster draft if they went with this:

1)
LB...ALABAMA........DONTA HIGHTOWER
2)
RB...OREGON..........LAMICHAEL JAMES
3)
OL...OLE MISS........BOBBY MASSIE
4)
CB...CAL-POLY........ASA JACKSON
5)
S.....MICHIGAN ST...TRENTON ROBINSON
5)
CB...NEBRASKA.......ALFONZO DENNARD
6)
LB...TEXAS............EMMANUEL ACHO
7)
OL...MICHIGAN.......DAVID MOLK

so all the lions had to do was do a draft like this and they wouldve had the best talented draft in years and this wouldve been awesome (i like rieff but this wouldve been a better way to go)

1)
ACTUALLY GOT: OL RILEY RIEFF
SHOULDVE GOT: LB DONTA HIGHTOWER

2)
ACTUALLY GOT: WR RYAN BROYLES
SHOULDVE GOT: RB LAMICHAEL JAMES

3)
ACTUALLY GOT: CB DWIGHT BENTLEY
SHOULDVE GOT: OL BOBBY MASSIE

4)
ACTUALLY GOT: LB RONNELL LEWIS
SHOULDVE GOT: CB ASA JACKSON

5)
ACTUALLY GOT: LB TAHIR WHITEHEAD
SHOULDVE GOT: S TRENTON ROBINSON

5)
ACTUALLY GOT: CB CHRIS GREENWOOD
SHOULDVE GOT: CB ALFONZO DENNARD

6)
ACTUALLY GOT: CB JONTE GREEN
SHOULDVE GOT: LB EMMANUEL ACHO

7)
ACTUALLY GOT: LB TRAVIS LEWIS
SHOULDVE GOT: OL DAVID MOLK

i did this based on where the lions picked and where the players that they couldve got instead
-------------------------------------

chances of starting:
1) OL RILEY RIEFF (80%)
2) WR RYAN BROYLES (40%)
3) CB DWIGHT BENTLEY (40%)
4) LB RONNELL LEWIS (60%)
5) LB TAHIR WHITEHEAD (10%)
5) CB CHRIS GREENWOOD (15%)
6) CB JONTE GREEN (5%)
7) LB TRAVIS LEWIS (20%)

- STARTER:
RILEY RIEFF

- SPOT STARTER (BACKUP)
RYAN BROYLES
RONNELL LEWIS

- BENCH PLAYER (SPECIAL TEAMS)
DWIGHT BENTLEY

- PRACTICE SQUAD (CHANCE ON BENCH)
CHRIS GREENWOOD
TRAVIS LEWIS

- CUT (CHANCE ON PRACTICE SQUAD)
TAHIR WHITEHEAD
JONTE GREEN

(1)

Why would the Lions take Hightower? They just locked up Tulloch to a 5-year deal. I guess he could play OLB but its not his natural position.

27 Apr 2012 05:37:24
well cant put it to 1 choice so i would do 5 choices:

1) COLTS (andrew luck)
well we all figure he would have success in the nfl cause of his accuracy, strength and smarts of the game which right away could be a success and by many experts have him as the best QB to come out of the draft since peyton manning did and there were alot of great QBs during that span and that the colts would need OL in the 2nd round which would help luck out and they should draft luck's teammate jonathan martin with the 2nd pick in the 2nd round which would bring instant chemistry between a QB and OL

2) BROWNS (trent richardson)
well they traded up 1 pick by giving up their 1st, 4th, 5th and 7th round pick (which seems to be high) but they wanted a RB that can be a playmaker which they lack and so in the 2nd round they would need a OL to help richardson and either weeden or mccoy out and do good enough to make a playoff run

3) VIKINGS (matt kalil)
well they traded down 1 pick to the browns (above) to get this pick and a 4th, 5th and 7th and all they gave up was NOTHING cause they wouldve drafted kalil anyways so they gained big time and added 3 picks for nothing and still get the player they want is SMART and that adrian peterson would be stellar when running behind the blocking of kalil

4) COWBOYS (morris claiborne)
well some are quite shocked that the cowboys moved up but they got the best CB in the draft and he would help them out right away and get the defense numbers down from what the defense had last year

5) CARDINALS (michael floyd)
everyone had blackmon as the best WR and i agree but i think floyd will have a better career impact then blackmon will and that being teammates with fitzgerald would make the offense like it was when they went to the superbowl but all they need is a good QB and they can get either foles or oswielier in the 2nd to compete for the starting QB job and that they will be a shutdown offense

but there were alot of suprising picks like seahawks getting a troubled LB bruce irving and some great pickups like the lions getting OL riley rieff but there were alot of trades and many picks that were head scratchers and that with some players that were shockingly not being drafted

(1)

Jets get matt forte

Bears get the jets 1rst round and 2nd round pick in 2012 and a 2nd round pick in 2013

Eagles Mock Draft(Post Samuel Trade)

15: CB D.Kirkpatrick (Alabama)

33: LB D.Hightower (Alabama) (Pick acquires in trade with SL for No.51 and No.88)

46: WR S.Hill (G.Tech)

88: TE L.Green (L-Laffeyette) (acquired in trade for No.114, 194, and 2013 6th rd draft pick)

153: QB K.Morre (Boise State)

172: DE J.Jarrett (ASU)

200: S P.Thomas (Syracuse)

229: OT: J.Adams (Columbia)

(1)
(5)

Ummmm, didn't they just Samuel becacuse they had too many CB's? I dont think they are going to take another 1 in the first. I think they go DT/DE and likely take Fletcher Cox or Dontari Poe in the first.

(2)
(0)

Hightower AND Hill in the 2nd rd? Are you a delusional Eagles fan or something? There is no way they fall past the first round.

Bears trade patriots

Patriots recieve matt forte and a 4rth round pick

Bears recieve patriots 27th and 31rst picks and aaron hernandez

(2)
(7)

Pats fan here. So the Pats get a running back that won't play until he gets a big contract and isn't all that good near the goal line (which they are looking for) and a 4th rounder and give up both of their first rounders which they could use to better the defense and the second best tight end on the team. Don't see this happening at all.

(6)
(3)

Ok patriots have absolutely no running game forte is is the #2 back for 3 years with the most all purpose yards. the bears would get 2 late 1rst round picks for a proven guy which the falcons aand now redskins traded 3 rst round picks for an unproven guy. plus aaron hernendez is the 2nd best tight end on the patriots for the simple fact how many tight ends are on a damn team u idiot. maybe the bears could give up a 3rd round pick insted that would leave the pats with 2 2nd round picks and 2 3rd round picks and a 4rth round pick to improve on defense and forte would make the pats a more difficult team to defend.

(0)
(8)

What was trying to be said is forte and a 4th round pick isn't enough to get 2 first round picks and Hernandez a first and second rounders may be a more believeable trade. Plus forte isn't a person that seems to fit within the Patriots system they do running back by commission so it seems like an overpay for a guy who may only rush 15-25 times a game.

(5)
(2)

To the person who called me an person there is on average 3 tight ends on a team in the NFL so think of who you call an "idiot" because they may know what they're talking about thanks.

so with the * of the player i would pick out of each list of names, would look like this:

23) nebraska........cb......dre kirkpatrick
54) oregon...........rb......lamichael james
85) texas.............lb......emmanuel acho
117) michigan.......ol......david molk
158) boise st........qb.....kellen moore
219) georgia.........k.......blair walsh
230) michigan st....wr.....bj cunningham

they need a starting caliber cb
they need a explosive play making rb
they need a young athletic lb
they need a big and good blocking ol
they need a good and smart backup qb
they need a young and powerful kicker
they need a quick and athletic wr

- KIRKPATRICK = cause they need a cb that can do great on pass defense which they are very very weak at

- JAMES = cause they need a rb that can be explosive to what they need and best showed that early on but ran out of gas due to concussions and we dont know if there will be punishment for lashoure being caught with marajuana and they need james to fill at RB

- ACHO = they can get any other player in the 3rd round (from the list i put up) but acho is the more of need due to lack of talent (outside of tulloch) and acho can be what the lions have been looking for at the LB position and that acho is explosive and talented enough to not pass this late in the draft and hes good on special teams which will help out also and form a good lb duo with tulloch and maybe fill in the void if avril holds out longer

- MOLK = he may drop to the 4th round due to lack of size but he can bring the lions a good run blocking lineman which the lions dont have and molk is a good passing blocker but not as better then a rushing blocker

- MOORE = he is this far in the draft due to lack of arm strength and his size but i can see him as the next drew brees with his smarts and arm accuracy and that he had the most wins ever in college so the lions could bring in moore to be a 3rd stringer or even a backup that has a winning talent that is much needed for a NFL backup and moore could be brought in to be a starter if stafford is hurt again

- WALSH = well you all should know why walsh will be looked at, at this time of the draft cause hanson is old and starting to go down in production so they would need to draft a kicker that can be the lions kicker of the next 10 or more years but until hanson retires, walsh can ease the workload for hanson by doing kickoffs and long field goals and by getting walsh, the lions will have a future kicker and be the 3rd kicker (eddie murray, jason hanson and blair walsh) since 1980 which has been 32 years

- CUNNINGHAM = well theyve drafted a WR in every draft of the last 5-6 years at some point in the draft and cunningham is a good wr to look at, at this pick but many have him undrafted but dont want to risk that chance and cunningham can be the 4th or 5th wr on the roster only if he gets drafted but many have him on practice squads but being from michigan, the lions can be thinking differently

well just saw another actual trade rumors that involves the lions and patriots:

lions get:
2012 1st round (27)

patriots get:
2012 2nd round
2012 4th round
2012 7th round
2013 4th round

THIS IS NOT A MADE UP TRADE FROM ME BUT ITS A RUMOR I SAW WHEN I WAS SEARCHING ON ALOT OF WEBSITES BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT SITE ITS ON SO JUST LOOK AROUND AND YOULL SEE IT

i wouldnt do this cause to move up and get another 1st round pick we would trade 4 picks

i would do it for a 2nd and 4th and a swap in 7th round to do it

(0)
(5)

Woops i meant a 1st and a 5th and a swap of 7th's imstead of a 2nd, 4th and swap of 7th's

I really like the browns draft in this one but the colts (we all know that luck will be a colt) so the others ones seems to be not what the colts will consider

but the browns one i really like

- EAGLES GET:
DE JACKSON
2012 5TH ROUND PICK (158)
2013 6TH ROUND PICK
--------------------------------------------
- LIONS GET:
2012 1ST ROUND PICK (27)
2012 1ST ROUND PICK (31)

- PATRIOTS GET:
2012 1ST ROUND PICK (23)
2013 5TH ROUND PICK
--------------------------------------------
- LIONS GET:
2012 4TH ROUND PICK (128)
2012 4TH ROUND PICK (134)
2012 5TH ROUND PICK (138)

- VIKINGS GET:
CB ALFONSO SMITH
2012 5TH ROUND PICK (158)
2012 7TH ROUND PICK (230)
2013 5TH ROUND PICK
--------------------------------------------
- LIONS GET:
2012 1ST ROUND PICK (29)
2012 3RD ROUND PICK (91)
2012 6TH ROUND PICK (198)

- RAVENS GET:
2012 1ST ROUND PICK (23)
2012 7TH ROUND PICK (230)
2013 7TH ROUND PICK
--------------------------------------------
- LIONS GET:
2012 5TH ROUND PICK (167)
2012 5TH ROUND PICK (168)

- BENGALS GET:
2012 5TH ROUND PICK (158)

2012 1ST ROUND PICK (21)

2012 4TH ROUND PICK (117)

2014 6TH ROUND PICK
--------------------------------------------
- LIONS GET:
2012 2ND ROUND PICK (54)
2012 5TH ROUND PICK (158)
2013 5TH ROUND PICK

- DOLPHINGS GET:
2012 3RD ROUND PICK (72)
2012 3RD ROUND PICK (73)
2013 6TH ROUND PICK
--------------------------------------------

OK I HAD ALOT MORE TRADES BUT I FEEL I GOT A FEW INTERESTING ONES (NOT GREAT ONES BUT INTERESTING)

** ALSO I DONT REALLY WANT NEGATIVE FEEEDBACK ON THIS CAUSE ALL I WANT IS:

"WHICH TRADE WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WERE THE OPPOSING TEAM THAT THE LIONS TRADE TO??"

(0)
(7)

Good job nobody would accept those deals. patriots give up 2 1st rd picks just to move up 4 spots are you high?

moving from 23 to 27 isnt as big of a deal as moving 2 to 6

(6)
(0)

I would have to agree with you and the guy that posted this cause some trades seems wayyyy to much but some seem reasonable

but do you remember the trade the falcons did last year and the redskins one this year???

falcons and browns:

ATL GETS:
2011 1ST ROUND PICK (6)

BROWNS GET:
2011 1ST ROUND PICK (27)
2011 2ND ROUND PICK (59)
2011 4TH ROUND PICK (124)
2012 1ST ROUND PICK (22)
2012 4TH ROUND PICK (118)

i understand that the falcons needed a good wr but i think they gave up too much

STL AND WAS

rams get:
2012 1st round pick (6)
2012 2nd round pick (39)
2013 1st round pick
2014 1st round pick

i know the redskins needed a QB but why give up so much for a guy who could be a flop like vince young?? they couldve got a good QB in tannehill without even trading away a pick

this is what im trying to say cause teams overtrade for just a simple rise in the draft and some teams would trade multiple 1st round picks to move up and the patriots may trade both (they said they may trade either or both to move up) and that some teams dont have nothing to lose

(2)
(3)

Colts have decided to take Andrew Luck

18 Apr 2012 14:22:56
The rumored draft trade between The Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns is predicated solely on the Vikings finding a team willing to trade up for Tannehill. If Tannehill goes at three, The Eagles targeted player Kalil slips to four. The offer is the 15th, 46th, 51st in this years draft and a 1st in 2013 for the 4th pick. Additional rumor - The Eagles offered Casey Mathews for a extra pick in this years draft possibility a four or fifth rounder.

(7)
(3)

Why would the Vikes pick Tannenhill when they just got Ponder last year

(2)
(3)

Vikes were putting it out they wanted to trade out off the third pick with mulible teams possablty trading up of Tannehill... At this point the talk has cooled down some, so it 's a moot point.

i just read an interesting column that mentioned a guy named peter king who knows football like todd mcshay and mel kiper does and he stated a trade that could happen in the nfl draft and i personally would do it in a heartbeat

HERES THE TRADE HE SAID COULD HAPPEN:

lions get:
2012 1st round pick (29)
2012 3rd round pick (91)

ravens get:
2012 1st round pick (23)

NOW ID DO THIS TRADE IN A HEARTBEAT CAUSE IT GIVES THE LIONS A MUCH NEEDED EXTRA HIGH ROUND PICK TO HELP THEM OUT

so with this trade the lions would have:

1) 29
2) 54
3) 85, 91
4) 117
5) 158
6) NONE
7) 219, 230

but i may consider trading the 91 pick (which we would get from the ravens) and trade that pick to the vikings and do this trade

lions get:
2012 4th round pick (98)
2012 4th round pick (128)
2012 4th round pick (134)

vikings get:
2012 3rd round pick (91)
2012 7th round pick (219)
2013 4th round pick

so with this trade the lions would have:

1) 29
2) 54
3) 85
4) 98, 117, 128, 134
5) 158
6) NONE
7) 230

then trade the 117 pick to the bills to get:

lions get:
2012 5th round pick (144)
2012 5th round pick (147)

bills get
2012 4th round pick (117)

then after this trade the lions would have:
1) 29
2) 54
3) 85
4) 98, 128, 134
5) 144, 147, 158
6) NONE
7) 230
------------------------------------------
BUT LETS JUST TALK ABOUT WHAT THE LIONS COULD GET WITH WHAT THE GUY PETER KING SAID:

lions get:
2012 1st round pick (29)
2012 3rd round pick (91)

ravens get:
2012 1st round pick (23)

1/29.....nebraska......cb...alfonzo dennard
2/54.....alabama.......lb....donta hightower
3/85.....oregon.........rb....lamichael james
3/91.....michigan.......ol....david molk
4/117....michigan st...s....trenton robinson
5/158....boise st.......qb....kellen moore
7/219....georgia.........k....blair walsh
7/230....michigan st...wr...bj cunningham
------------------------------------------
UD/UD...michigan......wr....junior hemingway
UD/UD...michigan......de....ryan van bergen
UD/UD...florida.........qb....john brantley
UD/UD...nebraska......ol....mike caputo
UD/UD...michigan st...ol....joel foreman
UD/UD...ucla............wr....nelson rasario

not saying they should sign all of the undrafted free agents but they should consider all of them and especially brantley as a emergency QB/practice squad and the others will fill a need but just on practice squad

(UD = UNDRAFTED)

(1)
(5)

Your other 2 draft pick trades have zero chance at happening.

lion fans are as bad as tigers fans on the mlb site

(5)
(0)

Hightower won't go that low in the 2nd rd

(5)
(0)

If Hightower does slide to second, He wont last until 54 for sure

(4)
(0)

James and moore aren't even going to the draft

16 Apr 2012 23:28:10
well the lions announced that cliff avril will be holding out after they applied the franchise tag on him and i like and hate this

like cause if someone signs him we would get a 1st and 2nd round pick OR we can trade him but might get less then the franchise tag rule

hate cause hes getting paid little more $5 million and hes holding out
--------------------------------------------
the lions can do a trade with the cowboys again and get a lot of good draft picks in return like we did years ago with roy williamsLIONS GET:
2012 1ST ROUND PICK (#14)
2012 2ND ROUND PICK (#45)
2012 6TH ROUND PICK (#186)

COWBOYS GET:
DE CLIFF AVRIL
2012 3RD ROUND PICK (#85)
2012 7TH ROUND PICK (#230)
2013 4TH ROUND PICK

after this trade the lions will have:
1) (14) and 23
2) (45) and 54
3) NONE
4) 117
5) 158
6) (186)
7) 219

then trade with dolphins to get:

LIONS GET:
2012 3RD ROUND PICK (#72)
2012 3RD ROUND PICK (#73)

DOLPHINS GET:
2012 2ND ROUND PICK (#54)
2013 5TH ROUND PICK

=============================
SO AFTER THESE 2 TRADE COMBINED THEN THE LIONS WILL HAVE:

1) (14) and 23
2) (45)
3) (72) and (73)
4) 117
5) 158
6) (186)
7) 219

here would be a mock draft:

- 14: alabama.........cb.....dre krikpatrick

great CB to have and he could be the best defensive player in this draft and may be better long term than morris claiborne

- 23: wisconsin.......ol......peter konz

can be put in the starting lineup instead of peterman who has trouble with blocking and konz is a great blocker

- 45: alabama.........lb.....donta hightower

this linebacker is a great linebacker and to get him this late in the draft is a steal and if hes there are 45 then you cant pass him up cause the lions are in need of a explosive LB

- 72: oregon...........rb.....lamichael james

james wouldve been a top 10 pick if he had stayed healthy but hes too good to pass up at this time of the draft and that if james went in the draft last year he wouldve been the 1st RB and that the lions need an explosive RB but james comes with a health risk and the lions need a healthy RB but james is too good to pass up at this time

- 73: michigan.........ol.....david molk

the lions need to build a strong OL to protect stafford and so the lions can have a running game so (if we get james) our running backs wont get hurt as much and adding molk (along to if we get konz) would build a great blocking offensive line

117: texas a&m....wr.....jeff fuller

this pick can help the lions have a big explosive WR to give calvin johnson less amount of double teaming he always gets and that fuller can help along with (nate burleson, calvin johnson and titus young) and can form a good 4 wr punch for stafford (other then the te: scheffler and pettigrew) and fuller can help fill the void in having a 2nd big WR

158: wisconsin......s......aaron henry

henry is a great safety that can be a late draft steal and henry can be a starter right away or at least a good backup

186: boise st........qb.....kellen moore

moore is a great leader to have on any team and that the lions now need a 3rd QB on the roster since stanton is no longer on the team and that moore may be a small QB and could be a draft risk but the lions are proned to drafting risks over the years and by getting moore they will not only get a leader but a good backup that knows how to win games

219: georgia.........k.......blair walsh

like they all say that the late round picks are the more important cause thats where the future is cause the 1-4 round feature studs but 5-7 you have to pick the best available thats on the board and by drafting walsh, the lions get the best kicker in the draft and they need to consider to draft a K cause of hanson being in his 40s and they need to find a kicker that could last about 10-15 years like the lions have since 1980 when they only had 2 kickers (eddie murray and jason hanson) and walsh can be the lions kicker for the next 10-15 years cause he has a good accurate/powerful kick that the lions needSINCE KONZ AND MOLK ARE AT THE SAME POSITION....KONZ WILL BE A GUARD OR TACKLE SINCE HES BIGGER THEN MOLK AND MOLK CAN BE THE CENTER OF THE FUTURE AND BE A BACKUP UNTIL THEN

(0)
(5)

Why would the cowboys give up their first 2 draft picks for avril. they would never do this and the dolphins trade is also unlikely.

(4)
(0)

Well same reason for jerry jones trading for roy williams

lions get:
2009 1st round (20) bradon pettigrew
2009 3rd round (82) derrick williams
2009 6th round (192) aaron brown

cowboys get:
wr roy williams
2009 7th round (229) manuel johnson

so the lions get the better part of the deal and that jones overpays for trades

so i think jones will do it again to a player he likes cause he did say he like avril

(1)
(4)

So bc one time you assume it will happen everytime now

lmao lion fans are getting desperate. too bad your team still isnt good enough for a super bowl

(3)
(0)

Wow you are smart congrats

i never knew the lions never went to the superbowl....heck everyone knows

im a lions fan my whole life even in the 0-16 season but everyone is noticing that the lions seem to be a playoff contender rather then a top 5 pick contender

i feel in the next 5 years, the lions will make it to the superbowl (not saying they will win, but they will get there in the next 5 years)

people do stupid trades all the time in sports which is why i thought of this cause some GMs are stupid to trade or draft a certain player that they will unload a ton to get a player they want and jerry jones has said in the past that he loves cliff avril, which is why jones would be desparate enough to do a trade like i made up

SO GET OFF OUR BACKS...IDIOT

Everything I am hearing about Tannenhill is that he is not that much better than Weeden or Osweiler. If they don't believe that Tannehill will be their franchise QB than I say move down.
If you trade with CLE before the draft they will have options on who they draft. How is this trade possibility?

22nd, 37th
for
8th

CLE drafts: 4th Richardson-RB(own pick)
8th Floyd-WR/Tannenhill-QB

MIA drafts: 22nd Martin-OT
37th Branch-DE
42nd Weedon-QB(own pick)

another possibility is trading with NE

8th
for
27th, 31st

(3)
(6)

Well below Value Chart for Miami 8th=1400 and the 22nd=780, 37th=530. only adds up to 1310. I'd take your trade in a heartbeat as a Browns fan.

You guys think this is realistic? basically i have us drafting Wright in the 1st, then Konz in 2nd, then moving up to late in the 2nd/early 3rd for zach brown.

I see no reason why this cant happen and if it does i think we're superbowl contenders

(5)
(6)

No chance konz is there in the 2nd rd

(7)
(5)

Brown gone late 1st early 2nd. You can't draft them when they're off the board.

What do you think?

(4)
(13)

Browns wont take tannenhill at 4th

(12)
(6)

Dolphins won't take a WR at 8

(12)
(5)

Browns will take Tannehill because he has been gaining a lot of momentum and they know they need a franchise QB and that Mccoy isnt it.

And why wont fins take a WR, they have nobody there with marshall gone and they have to give whoever plays QB for them some weapons unless they just want to waste another season.

(1)
(12)

Browns can get a qb later in the draft and use the 1st rd pick for a bigger need

(11)
(1)

I like De Castro to AZ, but do the Bengals trade up to get Trent Richardson? Lots of talk he will slide in to the teens.

(1)
(6)

I see Richardson gone at 4 to the Browns, If they go Clayborn instead Tampa jumps on him at 5

(6)
(2)

The browns can get tannehill at the #22 pick

(5)
(10)

Trent at 16 no way

Arizona #13 to the Bengals for their #17 and #83, or Cincy's #21 and #53. If you check out that trade value chart floating around the numbers work. Somethings cooking with these two teams.

(2)
(8)

49ers dont need a wr. and vikings will take kahil

(7)
(1)

As much as I would like Riley in Miami the OL is deep this year and Miami should take Upshaw in the 1st rd, an OT in the 2nd and a QB in the 3rd/4th

Detroit Lions Mock Draft

1-Janoris Jenkins CB
2-Zach Brown OLB *
3-Trumaine Johnson CB/FS
5-Vontaze Burfict MLB
7-BJ Cunningham WR

*Lions trade 2nd, 4th & 6th round selections for St.Louis Rams 2nd round pick (or possibly another high 2nd round pick from another team, but i though Rams were most likely.)I would love us to move up in the 1st round, but realistically dont see this happening unless the Vikings pass on Kalil at 3, in which case I think that we'd trade with either browns or bucs for him. He would take us to the next level as backus is old and we have to protect stafford!

(2)
(5)

YOU HAD ME UNTIL TRADING A 2ND 4TH AND 6TH

i dont think just moving up 15-20 picks is worth trading 3 picks

PLUS WE DONT HAVE A 6TH ROUND

Beanie Wells to the Bengals for one of thier first round picks and maybe a second.

(1)
(9)

Beanie wells isnt worth a 1st and a 2nd

maybe a 2nd rd pick but thats it

you can say this is a dream draft for the DETROIT LIONS but ill do 2 different mock drafts

--------------------------------------------
MOCK DRAFT #1:

1) #23
NORTH ALABAMA.....CB...JANORIS JENKINS

they need a good explosive CB which jenkins was and he can provide alot of help for the lions on defense and is too good to pass up

2) #54
WISCONSIN............OL...PETER KONZ

well hes a good OL to have and he is a big OL player that can help out and be a better starter then stephen peterman

3) #85
TEXAS...................LB...EMMANUEL ACHO

he was one of the best LB in the draft but wasnt as explosive as least year but hes a need that the lions need and that acho can provide help on DE or LB and special teams

4) #117
MICHIGAN STATE.....S....TRENTON ROBINSON

robinson can start on the other side of louis delmas and so he stays in the state of michigan where he lives

5) #158
BOISE STATE..........QB...KELLEN MOORE

the lions clearly stated that they will draft a QB and moore is too good to be available this late in the draft where most experts are placing him and he is projected to be in either the 4th-5th round and if hes available when the lions pick in the 4th, they can draft him but if hes there in the 5th round then, they cant pass on him cause at this point hes the best available and he can be a good emergency starter and can be a better backup then shaun hill

7) #219(from seahawks)
GEORGIA................K.....BLAIR WALSH

the lions need a kicker cause hanson is getting old and is less productive but still good, but by drafting walsh, they would get a good young kicker who could be a lions kicker for years and perhaps like hanson was and at this point, walsh is a great kicker and the lions can get him

7) #230
MICHIGAN STATE....WR...BJ. CUNNINGHAM

this is just a pick that means nothing much but at this point of the draft the lions just draft a fill-in and by getting cunningham, they would have a decent 4th WR (behind johnson, burleson and young) and cunningham would stay in michigan MOCK DRAFT 2:

1) #23
ALABAMA............LB.....DONT'A HIGHTOWER

this would be a great pick to have cause hightower wouldve been the best LB in the draft but his teammate at alabama courtney upshaw is projected to be higher and hightower is a great LB to not pass up

2) #54
OREGON..............RB.....LAMICHAEL JAMES

the lions need to shore up their backfield and james wouldve been the best RB in the draft if he had stayed healthy and the lions would be lucky to get an explosive RB this late in the draft

3) #85
MICHIGAN............OL....DAVID MOLK

molk can start right away in place of peterman and molk could be another jeff backus who is from michigan also and molk is a good OL to have this late in the draft

4) #117
MICHIGAN STATE...S.....TRENTON ROBINSON

robinson can start on the other side of louis delmas and so he stays in the state of michigan where he lives

5) #158
BOISE STATE........QB....KELLEN MOORE

the lions clearly stated that they will draft a QB and moore is too good to be available this late in the draft where most experts are placing him and he is projected to be in either the 4th-5th round and if hes available when the lions pick in the 4th, they can draft him but if hes there in the 5th round then, they cant pass on him cause at this point hes the best available and he can be a good emergency starter and can be a better backup then shaun hill

7) #219
TEXAS A&M...........K.....RANDY BULLOCK

bullock is a decent kicker that the lions would need to draft to perhaps play in hansons place in the future and that bullock can fill in the void of a potential retirement of hanson

7) #230
MICHIGAN STATE...WR...BJ CUNNINGHAM

this is just a pick that means nothing much but at this point of the draft the lions just draft a fill-in and by getting cunningham, they would have a decent 4th WR (behind johnson, burleson and young) and cunningham would stay in michigan
-------------------------------------------
SO WHICH DRAFT IS BETTER???

(1)
(3)

Neither. They both suck

(6)
(0)

Konz will go before that

(3)
(1)

Go with the second because the baby daddy in the first and a midget back up QB is not a good plan.

Detroit Lions trade Lawerence Jackson + 5th round pick + $500,000 to the Philadelphia Eagles for Ansante Samuel and Ronnie Brown.

-This is one rumor I've heard on some trades that could happen shortly

(9)
(7)

I WOULD DO THIS IN A HEART BEAT

i like this trade cause eagles would have more money to use to get players they need and the lions wont really give up much to get 2 players that can help

(5)
(2)

Lions were in play for samuel last year so verry possible, but why jackson? why not sammy hill he was rfa this year and thats one less contract to worry about next year

(2)
(2)

Hill currently is a free agent so the lions cant trade him unless they sign him

but i didnt know that they were looking at samuel...i knew about the brown trade but the RB we were trading had a brain tumor and im glad that they found that before he started playing

(3)
(0)

That was Harrison with the Brain tumor

Just heard that the Colts are trading the first pick to the Vikings for the 3rd overall and Christian Ponder, can somebody please verify this.

(5)
(15)

Nice try viking fan. its not going to happen

(10)
(4)

I heard the vikings traded the 3rd overall pick for a 2nd rd pick bc they realized this year they dont want to waste a first rd pick on a guy that doesnt deserve to be a first rd pick (ala christian ponder)

Why would Tebow agree to go to the Jets unless he was told something was happening with Sanchez. Why would he go from starter to backup. Any thoughts about what will happen

(2)
(0)

He may not start in nyj but he will play bc they will use the wildcat. plus he is in new york so that opens up many marketing possibilities.

by going to ny he can make more money thru endorsements and such

Bears trade Matt Forte to Cleveland for 1st round pick (#4) and 3rd rounder.
{ED021's Note - Possible as Bush has moved to Chicago and Forte is one of the most underrated running backs in the league. But at the 4th pick, couldn't Cleveland just draft Trent Richardson?}

(4)
(9)

Bears havent traded forte. and cleveland wouldnt trade their 4th overall pick for fotre anyways

(8)
(3)

Cleveland could just draft Trent Richardson at #4, so this trade would hurt them more than it would help.

is a 5 year $96 million deal for a 36 year old too much???

peyton manning is one of the best QB's to ever play the game but he just came off major neck surgery that at some point people were thinking he wont play anymore and the broncos paid him to be the highest paid NFL player in the league

i like manning but not that much which he would be making $19.2 million average for the 5 years but he would have to pass a physical every year to get paid and if he gets hurt he will only be paid that years salary

last year after the broncos lost to the patriots and he said that tebow as of now is our starter next year and hes done so much to help us this year.....then we stand a few months later and he is trying to trade him but i would keep tebow to backup manning just in case manning aint 100% and that tebow can be used alot more with manning involved

(2)
(1)

Broncos are either retarded or were simply that desperate to get rid of Tebow.

(7)
(1)

Im not liking elway that much cause he told tebow for what he proved and did for the broncos with the way he played last year that he would be the starter BUT THEY GO AND GET MANNING AND SPEND 1000% MORE THEN WHAT TEBOW WOULD MAKE

TEBOW: ABOUT $1.5 MILLION
MANNING: ABOUT $19.5 MILLION

nothing against manning cause he is one of the best to play the game but hes well in his 30's and came off a neck surgery that many thought that he wont play again and they pay him to be the highest payed player in the NFL

the player i think deserves to be the highest paid NFL player is either:

- drew brees
- aaron rodgers
- calvin johnson
- tom brady

really noone else that does deserve to be the highest paid

i dont believe miami should draft a QB this year, draft an OL for bush! there a running and with another OL they can really dominate that part of the game, keep gerrard and moore for this year because theres not really a stand out QB in this draft except for RG3 and LUCK so wait another year were they can possible get someone like landry jones or matt barkley

(1)
(3)

I love how miami fans thought they were going to get luck or rg3, then manning, then it was flynn, then it was tebow,

and now its barkley or jones lol

(3)
(2)

If they draft a QB wait until 3rd/4th rd. Pick up a DE/LB and an OL in the first 2 rounds

well i know everyone knows about the SAINTS BOUNTY SYSTEM and the punishment that sean peyton, greg williams and the GM of the saints got

- SEAN PEYTON (current head coach) =
suspended for 2012 season without pay
(about $7 million)

-GREG WILLIAMS (former defensive coach) =
suspended indefinately without pay
(about $2 million for 2012 season and hes on the rams coaching staff)

-MICKEY LOOMIS (current saints GM) =
suspended for 1st 8 games of 2012 season

-SAINTS TEAM =
fined $500,000 and docked 2 2nd round picks (1 this year and 1 next year)
-------------------------------------------

i agree with all of it but one part. the fine for sean peyton, who is out for the year unpayed

he shouldnt be without pay or if he is, it should be 1/2

well the saints did a major boo-boo (LOL) and they got what they deserved

THE NFL THINKS THAT DOCKING THEM 2 2ND ROUND PICKS IS FAIR, WHEN ITS NOT CAUSE IT IS 2 PEOPLE WHO WONT HAVE A DREAM FUL-FILLED OF BEING DRAFTED

(0)
(1)

The punishment wasnt severe enough. should of been mulitple 1st rd picks. and why should a coach get paid to do nothing. makes no sense

(8)
(0)

The punishment fits the crime sean payton will be back next year but greg williams is a different story...i doubt goodell gives him another chance in the nfl especially if the nfl gets into a concussion lawsuit from former players...

Rams-Vikings-Browns
Rams get #3 and Vikings 4th rounder
Vikings get #4 #33 #39
Browns get #6 #35

Why it works:
The Rams get the player they want Justin Blackman and still have two extra 1st rounders from the Redskins which surly will be top 10 in 2013 and 2014

The Vikings get Kalil and pick up a extra 2nd rounder

The Browns get Trent Richarson or Ryan Tannehill, save money and pick up an extra 2nd rounder

(12)
(7)

The Vikes will draft Kalil
The Rams will draft Blackman
The Browns will draft Richardson
These will happen without those trades

(11)
(12)

If the Rams get the 3rd pick they will draft Kalil

(5)
(12)

Blackman will be drafted before the #6 pick

(13)
(6)

This trade makes too much sense, the Rams raped the Redskins and still can move back up while keeping the 3 first round picks and get the player that they want.

(14)
(4)

This isn't the NBA, trades like this don't happen
