Titans and Jets trade:

Titans would get: Mark Sanchez

Jets Would get: a late round draft pick in 2014.

why this would work;

1. The jets would take on 6 mil of the 8.5 mil owed to Sanchez

2. Sanchez gets out out the spotlight of NY, and could start over

3. QB competition between Locker and Sanchez

(2)
(3)

Titans say hell no. I don't want sanchez on my team. if Jake doesn't do well this year, then next year, we'll be looking for another quarterback, but NOT sanchez

Titans are in negotiations with John Abraham. I think if we get him a situational pass rusher behind kameron and derrick and he is 75% of what he was in his prime then he could be very effective for us. Considering all the moves we made in the draft and in free agency and I think we can make a run for the playoffs. What do u guys think?

with the free agent class and the draft class the lions have had this offseason, they will have a better record (from 4-12 to perhaps 7-9) which would put them in the 10 to 15 range

so let's say this:

LIONS DO A TRADE TO AQUIRE WHO EVER HAS THE 1ST PICK

LIONS GET:
2014 1ST ROUND PICK (1)
2014 7TH ROUND PICK
2015 7TH ROUND PICK

WHOEVER GET:
2014 1ST ROUND PICK (10-15 RANGE)
2014 2ND ROUND PICK
2014 4TH ROUND PICK
2015 3RD ROUND PICK
2015 6TH ROUND PICK

this helps the lions move up to potentially get clowney and that would make the lions DL one of the best ever with suh, fairley and ansah and be the new version of the fearsome foursome or steel curtain

imagine:
LE: CLOWNEY
DT: SUH
DT: FAIRLEY
RE: ANSAH

crazy defensive line that all teams would fear

OR

THEY CAN GO A DIFFERENT ROUTE AND TRADE INTO THE 4-6 RANGE (IF NOT IN IT) FOR MARQUISE LEE

LIONS GETS:
2014 1ST ROUND PICK (4-6 RANGE)
2014 5TH ROUND PICK
2015 5TH ROUND PICK

WHOEVER GETS:
2014 1ST ROUND PICK (10-15 RANGE)
2014 3RD ROUND PICK
2015 4TH ROUND PICK

this would help the lions at #2 WR and that having lee would help calvin johnson to not get double teamed 99. 99% of the time

BUT BACK TO THE CLOWNEY

say the lions hold the #1 pick next year if they take a big step backwards, should they trade that pick and get a lot in return (perhaps to the amount the rams got from the redskins for the #2 spot, 3 1st rounders and 1 2nd rounder) or take one of the best DE to come out in years. we already have ansah and if we somehow get the #1 pick, should we trade that pick for more picks or stand pat for clowney

(1)
(5)

Wow that is awful!

to let everyone on here know, i'm not the one that wrote all of the recent lions posts but i'm going to post one anyways

the lions did a B - in the draft, that being high cause they filled all of their needs and got players with high potential but its that low cause if ansah is a bust in 3 years, then this draft sucked

but next year the lions are set to many more picks then they did this year cause of compesatory picks that most likely will come to them based on free agents leaving

these type of picks are rewarded based on contract, playing time and playoff time and I know we would at least add 3 picks

players with what rounds they are:

- CLIFF AVRIL = 3RD OR 4TH ROUND
signed with the seahawks (2 year $13 million) and he will play a lot (if he don't get hurt) so that is good, then his contract is good enough to get a mid round pick and then playoffs time is a good thing since the seahawks are playoff contenders

POSSIBLE PICK: 3RD ROUND

- SAMMIE LEE HILL = 7TH ROUND
signed with the titans but they are not really a playoff contender and his playing time may be a backup and his contract is in the $4 million range per season so that is not high enough to warrent a higher pick but a 7th rounder may be too high

POSSIBLE PICK: NONE

- STEPHEN PETERMAN = 7TH ROUND
signed with the jets and his playing time is like hill, may be a backup with some starts but not enough to get a pick and his contract is not high enough and the jets are in rebuilding mode right now

POSSIBLE PICK: NONE

- LAWRENCE JACKSON = 6TH OR 7TH ROUND
signed with the vikings and his contract is not high enough to be a 6th round pick and his playing time seems like a givin with the vikings and the playoffs are iffy so a 7th round pick seems logical

POSSIBLE PICK: 7TH ROUND

- GOSDER CHERILUS = 4TH OR 5TH ROUND
signed with the colts and his contract is high, his playing time is a high chance and playoffs are a high chance but with them 3 steps marked off means we get a mid round pick but not a 3rd round pick but a 4th round pick seems more likely

POSSIBLE PICK: 4TH ROUND

- JUSTIN DURANT = 5TH OR 6TH ROUND
signed with the cowboys and his contract is low, his playing time is likely a spot starter or backup but good enough for a 5th or 6th round pick and the playoffs are iffy for the cowboys so with 1 for sure, you need all 3 steps (playing time, contract, playoffs) to get a higher pick

POSSIBLE PICK: 6TH ROUND

there were other free agents but these are the only ones that are valued enough to get a pick

PICKS AFTER THIS:

1ST ROUND
2ND ROUND
3RD ROUND
3RD ROUND (COMP FOR AVRIL)
4TH ROUND
4TH ROUND (COMP FOR CHERILUS)
6TH ROUND
6TH ROUND (COMP FOR DURANT)
7TH ROUND
7TH ROUND (COMP FOR JACKSON)

*note: lions traded their 5th pick for wr mike thomas

so the lions have the chance to get 10 picks even after trading a pick last years trade deadline for mike thomas

this is ammo to trade up in the draft to perhaps get jadevon clowney or taylor lewan, marquise lee or kyle van noy which would be perfect

(1)
(3)

On the comp picks don't count on a 3 & 4 it's not only who you loose but who you sign with signing Bush & Quinn you won't get any picks that high Quinn was a tier 1 free. Agent the lions did not loose any tier 1 free agents

Detroit lions 2nd and 3rd round picks

Take best player avalible at 2

36th-dontre Moore-De
Trade back up into the 2nd to get
Wr-Justin Hunter-Tenneesse
That will cost our third and fourth this year and a third next year

But now our D line has unlimited potential

(0)
(2)

Damontre Moore is lazy, he even admitted that himself. He won't put in the work and is not the kind of guy we want in the locker room. I get he's the only one you've heard of, but both Okafor and Tank are far better all round prospects, and better people too.

Like the Hunter pick, though it wouldn't take that much to get him. Uklion

Detroit Lions draft rounds 2-7

Ok i'm not overly pleased with the Ansah pick, as I think its a bit of a reach, but he does have HOF upside and Detroit's scheme is perfect for him. This is my plan for the rest of the draft. NB I have us trading down in the second round with the Bucs. Our pick will be very in demand with teams looking to get a QB, and I think the bucs like Geno a lot. I therefore have them giving us their 2nd and 3rd for our 2nd and 2014 5th.

I also have us trading back into the second round, a distinct possibility for us given our history of doing so. Most likely a team like Houston, giving them our 3rd, 4th and 7th round picks.

2 (TB) - Cornelius 'Tank' Carradine - Carradine represents great value here; without his torn ACL he may have been a top 10 pick. He has drawn comparisons to Justin Tuck, and with this and the Ansah pick we have secured a very scary d-line for the next 10 years.

2 (HOU) - Justin Hunter - Mathew Stafford finally gets another outside wr, and Hunter is my favourite guy in the class. He reminds me a lot of AJ Green. Not the strongest player, but fast, an excellent route runner, and most importantly for Detroit not a character issue.

3 - Barrett Jones - Although Jones has some issues, lacking athleticism at times, he is a smart kid who can be a say one starter inside. His versatility will be invaluable on an offensive line where only one position is set right now, but I see him starting out at RG, and moving to C next year when Raiola retires.

5 - Ricky Wagner - Decent OT who although unspectacular, is a good run blocker and could potentially be groomed to be a very good starting RT two years down the line.

6 - Dion Sims - Good TE who is an effective pass catcher. The Lions still need to improve at TE, with the jury still out on whether Pettigrew is the long term answer.

7 - Dustin Hopkins - Best kicker in the draft, can compete with Akers in camp

Let me know what you think. UKLion

Some quality players falling into round 2, reckon their could be a lot of horse-trading going on Jags must be pinching themselves, joeckell in the bag and the opportunity to get a good signal caller and they havn't had to give anything up. reckon the eagles will address the defense but i'd like them to look at nassib. ged n. b yes I am giving myself a pat on the back for predicting over 6 months ago that eric ried would go in rnd one

OAK/MIA TRADES

Oakland: sent the No. 3 overall pick to Miami for the No. 12, No. 42, No. 77 and No. 82 picks. You're welcome, Oakland. If the Raiders get that offer. Oakland badly needs picks to restock the roster. This trade would be a great start. The only other pick Oakland has in the first three rounds is the No. 66 pick. This trade would give Oakland five picks in the first three rounds.

(1)
(4)

In this years draft there is no impact player at 3. You WILL get a solid 10 year pro but probably not a HOFer. 12, 56, 82

MIA needs those later picks to trade to KC for Albert

Bengals sign: Geno Atkins to a 5 yrs 45 mill contract and Michael Johnson to a 5 yrs 45 million contract.

They also draft assuming he stays that long Kenny Varco or if he's gone draft Johnthan Thyrpin who has the potential to be good. 2nd round Draft a line backer because ( Mauluga might not be here in a few years).
and also draft a RB personally I like Montee Ball or even take a chance in the later rounds on Marcus Lattimorre.

Also trade for a WR if its a good deal.

49ers get First Round #6

Cleveland gets First Round #31, Second round #34, Second Round #63 and Third round pick #95.

San Francisco has 14 picks and not too many holes to fill. The one area in which the could use an upgrade is at nose tackle. With Isaac Sopoaga leaving for Philly, they could use the 6th overall pick to draft Star Lotulelei. While the 49ers want quality, the Browns need quantity. With no second round pick after selecting Josh Gordon in the supplemental draft last year, Cleveland desperately needs a cornerback, a safety, a guard, a tight end and possibly a quarterback. This would give the Browns 5 picks in the top 95 and could address every one of those needs.

No way would ey give them that many picks. Agree they might move up for star, but I don't think they would unless he fell out of the top 10. Maybe miami at 12

bucs and jets trade

NYJ GETS:
2013 1ST ROUND PICK (13)
2014 4TH ROUND PICK (CONDITIONAL)
(can be a 3rd round if revis is on the roster after the 3rd day of the season)

TB GETS:
CB REVIS

well revis is a good corner and the jets did get a steal cause of revis being hurt for most of last season with a knee injury but still got a high value for him but to me this is a bad move on the bucs part
=======================================
MY REASON FOR POSTING: A TRADE FOR THE LIONS

TEAMS WITH MULTIPLE 1ST ROUNDERS:
NYJ: 9 & 13
STL: 16 & 22
MIN: 23 & 25

the lions won't trade within the division like that so they are out, they can aquire both of the rams 1st rounders but that may be unlikely and they can get the jets 9th but that may be unlikely

2 trades that I would consider:

(1) DET - STL

LIONS GETS:
2013 1ST ROUND PICK (16)
2013 1ST ROUND PICK (22)
2014 7TH ROUND PICK

RAMS GETS:
2013 1ST ROUND PICK (5)
2013 6TH ROUND PICK (171)
2014 4TH ROUND PICK

the lions gets 2 1st rounders to use to help the team (draft LB teo with 16 and WR patterson with 22) since patterson is dropping out of the top 2 or 3 wr on the board (austin, allen and hunter) are considered higher at this point and the rams move up to get an OL (warmack or johnson) since both joeckle and fisher are 80% gone by #5

(2) DET - NYJ

LIONS GETS:
2013 1ST ROUND PICK (9)
2013 7TH ROUND PICK (215)
2014 7TH ROUND PICK

JETS GETS:
2013 2ND ROUND PICK (36)
2013 3RD ROUND PICK (65)
2014 4TH ROUND PICK
2014 5TH ROUND PICK
WR NATE BURLESON

the lions avoid trading their 1st round pick and to help their team at many positions (OL, DE, LB, CB)

the jets trade out of the 1st round but still having the 13th pick from the bucs (which could be easier for the lions to do this trade) and the jets gets the lions 2nd and 3rd rounders this year, 4th and 5th rounders next year and nate burleson who would help the jets at WR since they really only have holmes and a bunch of #3 or #4 recievers (hill and kerley could be #2 but burleson would be a better #2 then they are)

I LIKE BOTH TRADES WHICH WOULD GIVE THE LIONS EITHER 16 AND 22 WITHOUT GIVING UP ANY PICKS IN THE 2ND-4TH ROUND RANGE OR GETTING ANOTHER TOP 10 PICK TO ADD WITH THEIR #5 PICK BUT GIVING UP THEIR 2ND AND 3RD ROUNDERS

BUT DUE TO WHAT THE LIONS NEED, I WOULD GO FOR THE JETS AND I THINK THE JETS WOULD DO IT SINCE THEY ARE DUMB BY TRADING AWAY ALL THEIR TALENT BUT THIS WOULD ALLOW THEM TO ADD MORE HIGH ROUND PICKS THIS YEAR
=======================================
WITH THE JETS TRADE IN MIND, I THINK THE LIONS CAN DO 2 OTHER SMALL TRADES TO ADD PICKS

(1) DET - CLE

LIONS GETS:
2013 5TH ROUND PICK (164)
2013 6TH ROUND PICK (173)

BROWNS GETS:
2013 6TH ROUND PICK (171)
QB SHUAN HILL

the lions add a 5th round pick while the browns move up in the 6th and getting a good veteran QB who has been in the league for 7 years and is only 3 years older then weeden (who is a bust) but hill can provide veteran leadership to the QB spot in cle to help weeden or whoever they get in this years draft

(2) DET - WAS

LIONS GETS:
2013 5TH ROUND PICK (154)
2013 7TH ROUND PICK (228)

REDSKINS GETS:
2013 5TH ROUND PICK (137)
2014 7TH ROUND PICK (the lions would get from NYJ)

the lions add a 7th rounder this year while the redskins move up 17 picks in the 5th and add security for next years draft with having a 7th rounder who is from the jets and perhaps in the top 15 in the 7th next year
=======================================
THE JETS TRADE IS REASONABLE AS THEY HAVE GOT THE BUCS PICK (#13) AND WOULD BE a lot EASIER TO GET WITH AVOIDING TRADING A 1ST ROUNDER, THE BROWNS TRADE IS VERY REASONABLE AND THE REDSKINS TRADE IS ALSO REASONABLE

fisher: helps the lions on the OL on the left side and can help the lions with a good tackle duo with rieff

ansah: is a top 10 pick and at first I wanted to avoid him cause of him being raw after starting only 1 full season and being a backup the first 2 but he is a beast and can be added along with suh and fairley and from a a good trio

porter: is dropping in the draft duo to many other good LB around the 3rd-4th round range (nico johnson, davonte holloman, gerald hodges, jelani jenkins) so he falls to the lions who could use porter as their starting ROLB with levy/palmer at LOLB and tulloch at MLB

klein: is a qb the lions need since he can run and throw good enough to help, his power is slighting worse then his accuracy but he would be competing with kellen moore to be staffords backup and with his speed he may have the upside

sims: the lions need a good #3 te and sims would be available in the 5th round since there are a lot of good te in front of him (ertz, eifert, mcdonald, reed and kelce) so in the 5th round would help the lions if they get sims since he's starting caliber

cave: having an issurance plan when and if riola retires/leaves next season and cave needs about a season of seasoning to be a starter and that's perfect since riola's contract is up after this coming season and cave would be ready to be the starter

mcdonald: having mcdonald in the 7th round would be a steal since he's a good blocker on the pass and decent on the run and a good one in the 5 yard end zone range and he could start and compete with fox and hilliard for the RG/RT spot

allen: the lions need a good punter and I like wing but he's a drug user risk and sharp is good but allen may be better and more capable of helping the lions out and the lions should get allen to be their punter

kruger: well I didn't know much about him but after noticing he's paul krugers (BAL) brother, that makes me want joe kruger since he is similiar in a way like his brother and having him in the 7th with so many better DE ahead of him would be a no brainer to get him (if he's there)

kovacs: is a great cover DB but would be best fit as a backup (delmas is an injury risk) and a special teams player who is really good at that

3 YEARS $7. 5 MILLION

'13-'14: $2. 0 MILLION
'14-'15: $2. 5 MILLION
'15-'16: $3. 0 MILLION
'16-'17: $2. 5 MILLION (TEAM OPTION)

CB CHARLES WOODSON
1 YEAR $3. 0 MILLION

'13-'14: $3. 0 MILLION
'14-'15: $2. 0 MILLION (TEAM OPTION)

edwards is still capable of being a deep threat to where DBs would not have to double cover calvin 100% of the time and he's from michigan so that helps a little and woodson has not yet found a job cause of his age but he still is a good DB who the lions can use his leadership and veteran help to a young DB core and can start until the young guys bentley, green and/or greenwood step up to be a better CB and both can help the lions out alot

ROSTER

QB: STAFFORD
RB: BUSH
WR1: JOHNSON
WR2: EDWARDS
WR3: THOMAS or BROYLES
TE: PETTIGREW
LT: FISHER
LG: SIMS
C: RIOLA
RG: RIEFF or FOX / HILLIARD
RT: FOX / HILLIARD or RIEFF

this is a much better offense and the OL is a ton better and fisher replaces backus, since rieff did good at RG he goes there with fox/hilliard competing for the RT spot OR they can put rieff at RT with fox or hilliard competing for rg (so whatever spot rieff dotn have, hilliard and fox would to there)

LE: JONES or YOUNG or KRUGER
DT1: SUH
DT2: FAIRLEY
RE: ANSAH
LOLB: LEVY or PALMER
MLB: TULLOCH
ROLB: PORTER or PALMER
CB1: WOODSON or HOUSTON
FS: DELMAS
SS: QUIN
CB2: HOUSTON or WOODSON

le would be a 3 man competion with jones and young being the most likely candidates with kruger being a dark horse to win that spot but young should win the spot and having ansah would only improve the defense and woodson would add veteran leadership (on a 1 year deal)

K: AKERS or RUGLAND
P: ALLEN
LS: MUHLBACH

the special teams is wierd without seeing the name hanson in it but he retired and thanks for the great years and leadership. the lions added akers but then a week later after seeing "kickalicious" on youtube, the lions signed him and I actually would like rugland to win since akers in nowhere near what he used to be with the eagles and allen is a good punter to use as the lions need one

KR: BUSH
PR: BUSH

bush is the punt returning and I can't think of anyone else to be the kick returner and since I cant, bush is the best choice and would improve greatly over logan

WITH THE 3 TRADES, THE DRAFT AND 2 FREE AGENT SIGNINGS THE LIONS IMPROVE GREATLY

2012-2013: 4-12
2013-2014: 9-7

i think the team would be in the running for a wild card and would have a record above. 500

the bears are paying devin hester 8 mil a year that's way too much for a guy who teams don't kick tooo so I say we cut him. we could use eric weems to replace him on special teams

use that money to sign abraham and shaun phillips

now u have a defense up front that will get to the qb causing major problems and creating turn overs

so now I think u draft offense now since the defense is solid

bears should trade back to draft te tyler eifert or zach ertz and try to get another pick since we have no third round pick.

then next year we focus more on defense in the draft

(3)
(2)

Hester gets paid around 2 million with a possibility of 8 million incentives. If you cut him you only save about 800 k

Cutler for Sanchez?

Milliner will not fall that far if the Titans want him they will have to trade up to get him

a potential 2011 nfl draft trade that was offered by the lions and declined by the cardinals

THIS TRADE IS STRANGE AS THE LIONS HAVE THE 5TH PICK THIS YEAR AND A STAR CALIBER CB IS UP THERE IN DEE MILLINER, IF THE LIONS CONSIDER TO TRADE DOWN, THEY CAN GET THE SAME OR A LITTLE MORE IN RETURN THEN WHAT THEY OFFERED TO THE CARDINALS IN THIS TRADE

LIONS GETS:
2011 1ST ROUND PICK (5) (CB PATRICK PETERSON)

CARDINALS GETS:
2011 1ST ROUND PICK (13) (DT NICK FAIRLEY)
2011 2ND ROUND PICK (44) (WR TITUS YOUNG)
2011 4TH ROUND PICK (107) (traded to SEA)*

* THE 4TH ROUND PICK THE LIONS HAD WAS LATER TRADED TO THE SEAHAWKS WHICH THEY PICKED WR KRIS DURHAM WHICH IS ON THE LIONS ROSTER RIGHT NOW, SO ITS KIND OF LIKE THEY didn't TRADE THAT PICK. LOL

at the time of the draft I would do this trade but after thinking, despite his returning skills and being a good corner, i'm glad we got fairley which teaming up with suh is making them one of the most feared DT duos in the NFL

DETROIT LIONS TRADE SCENERIO

LIONS GETS:
2013 1ST ROUND PICK (11)
2013 3RD ROUND PICK (76)
2014 3RD ROUND PICK

CHARGERS GETS:
2013 1ST ROUND PICK (5)
2014 5TH ROUND PICK

the lions do this cause they move down (only if joeckle, fisher and/or milliner is not available) and they can get a DE in the 2nd or 3rd round that would still be an impactful player and the chargers move up to draft an OG like warmack who they need since their 2 starters (green and vazquez) are gone so warmack would be the realistic choice as they need protection for phillip rivers who got sacked quite a bit last season and warmack is a good sack preventer and the lions move down to add more picks while looking for a game changer

my mock draft will be based on their needs and ill try to list players in my mock draft on who actually came in for a draft visit

lions needs:
#2 wr, #3 te, ol, ol, de, lb, cb, p

LIONS DRAFT
1 (11)
WEST VIRGINIA
WR TAVON AUSTIN
(had a pre draft visit)

2 (36)
NORTH CAROLINA
CB DAVID AMERSON
(had a pre draft visit)

3 (65)
STANFORD
LB CHASE THOMAS

3 (76)
KENT STATE
OL BRIAN WINTERS
(had a pre draft visit)

4 (132)
MICHIGAN STATE
DE WILLIAM GHOLSTON
(had a pre draft visit)

5 (137)
MICHIGAN STATE
TE DION SIMS
(had a pre draft visit)

6 (171)
NOTRE DAME
OC BRAXTON CAVE

7 (211)
LOUISIANA TECH
P RYAN ALLEN

7 (245)
MICHIGAN
S JORDAN KOVACS

WHY I CHOSE EACH GUY:

AUSTIN:
well the lions need a playmaking WR that can be their #2 wr which they don't have and a good kick returner which they don't have and austin is a good one and he should be there at 11 (with CLE, BUF and NYJ needing a WR but need other players first) and the chargers may be the team to get austin which is why trade down to get him so they chargers can get warmack

AMERSON:
hes a big corner (6'3'' 195) and the lions need one just like the seahawks have 2 that's around that height and amerson came in for a pre draft visit and he is a good corner who would be the better starter over bentley, green or greenwood (for now)

THOMAS:
hes a good linebacker who can start right away along with levy/palmer and tulloch and replace durant

WINTERS:
hes a good blocker and a lot better then peterman so he can be the starting RG while rieff goes back to RT full time and he also came in for a pre draft visit

GHOLSTON:
hes a big DE that can be a fearful piece to suh and fairley and he's from michigan which is a plus and he came in for a pre draft visit which is also a plus

SIMS:
sims may be one of the under the radar type guys who has a low draft stock but is a good player with just more for sure TE ahead of him and sims would be a great #3 TE and he had a pre draft visit

CAVE:
i like cave cause he's a center and would need a year to develop which is perfect as riola would either retire or leave in free agency next year with cave being ready to be a starter

ALLEN:
the lions need a punter and allen is a good one cause he won 2 straight ray guy awards (2011 & 2012) which is the top punter in all of college which is good and he's been all american, 1st team and punted a ball at 85 yards once which means he can be the next shane lechler which is a great punter with excellent leg strength and he can get the ball within the 5 yard line which is what the lions need since their special teams coverage sucks and having a good punter would help that

KOVACS:
i still think kovacs could be a great addition to any team and for him to drop this far would help the lions and he's valued as a mid 7th to undrafted which helps the lions since they have 2 7th rounders (211 and 245) and can get him with 245 and he's a good special teams player

TB off-season

Re-sign R. Barber

draft #13 S. Richardson #43 J. Banks trade #73 and #147 to NE for #59 and get D. Amerson

In my opinion they would be playoff bound

starting line up

QB J. Freeman
FB E. Lorig
RB D. Martin
WR V. Jackson
WR M. Williams
WR K. Ogletree
TE T. Crabtree
LT D. Penn
LG C. Nicks
C J. Zuttah
RG D. Joseph
RT D. Dotson

LE A. Clayborn
DT G. Mccoy
DT S. Richardson
RE D. Bowers
LOLB L. David
MLB M. Foster
ROLB J. Casillas
CB J. Banks
CB E. Wright
CB R. Barber
FS D. Goldson
SS M. Barron

Banks will go in top 40, no question

(0)

Barber is finished at CB and not much pass rush threats in that team. After losing Bennett they definitely need another premium pass rusher through the draft or they could pick up Abraham or Freeney in free agency, I think Abraham could be a nice fit.

If I were them i'd look to trade 2013 1st & 5th and 2014 4th for Revis, then select a de/dt in the second, and a wr in the 3rd

(0)
(0)

Barber could play nickel and teach, Schiano wants Bowers to start has a lot of confidence in him. I wouldn't mind getting Abraham to rotate with Bowers with age for Abraham and injuries for Bowers. Sheldon Richardson has good pass rush inside and would work well with McCoy. Plus Clayborn had a good rookie year with those four on the line your young and have a lot of potential. If Revis works out well I'd do it, but they still need a young CB and I expect them to draft 2 and they will not draft a WR with the first 3 picks after signing Ogletree and Smith. They will draft a TE

Can't wait for next years draft class, so many elite players at the top such as Clowney, Manziel, Bridgewater, Boyd,
Matthews, Lewan, Lee and Tuitt.
Amazing top end depth next year with the most sure fire defensive prospect ever and two electrifying dual threat quarterbacks. This years class has good depth but next year I'm sure has elite depth

So Albert can be had for a 2nd round pick. Makes sense for KC as then they can draft Joeckel first overall to man the left tackle position.
Possible suitors for Albert:
Arizona - Need a left tackle to help shore up a porous offensive line. Cap room could be a struggle especially since they picked up Palmer. Also have a lot of holes to fill + could draft Lane Johnson at #7

San Diego - Unlikely to be able to get one of the three top tackle prospects and left tackle is a huge need for them. May not have the sufficient cap room though.

Miami - This one makes the most sense. They still have a fair bit of cap room left, need a new left tackle after Long went to St Louis and have an abundance of picks.

New Orleans - Payton admitted the left tackle spot worries him after Bushrod joined Chicago. They will compete again in 2013 and don't have too many holes. Cap room may prove tricky though.

Baltimore - McKinnie still hasn't been resigned and the organisation may look to move on to a younger guy. Lost a lot of free agents so may be able to squeeze Albert under the cap but they also need the picks.

Matty

New Orleans and Baltimore don't have the money to fit him under the cap

I heard something like the AZ Cardinals were offering next year's second rounder. At any rate it would be a great pickup for AZ. Not sure about cap numbers makes situation complex.

stupid computer messed up. lol

i was posting a post awhile ago and would like to finish it

IF JADEVEON CLOWNEY AND TAYLOR LEWAN CAME OUT THIS YEAR, HOW WOULD THE TOP 10 OF THE DRAFT LOOK LIKE

1) CHIEFS
TEXAS A&M
OT LUKE JOECKEL

the chiefs need protection for alex smith after he was traded over from the 49ers and if albert comes back then the OL looks a lot better

2) JAGUARS
SOUTH CAROLINA
DE JADEVEON CLOWNEY

clowney would be the #2 pick but next year is the #1 if nothing changes and the jaguars need a showstopper and/or a franchise player on defense like freeney was a long time ago or aldon smith is now for the 49ers

3) RAIDERS
CENTRAL MICHIGAN
OT ERIC FISHER

raiders need a lot but getting an OT is key as they got matt flynn who would be given a shot to be the starter but I would draft a QB in he 2nd or 3rd as a backup plan but fisher would be the right choice

4) EAGLES
ALABAMA
CB DEE MILLINER

the eagles main need right now is a CB as they got rid of asomugha (spelled it wrong) and cromartie after a short stay with the team and milliner would be a shutdown corner and perhaps a #1 corner in the future

5) LIONS
MICHIGAN
OT TAYLOR LEWAN

the lions need a lot but getting lewan would make sense since both fisher and joeckle could be gone and lewan would replace a fellow michigan player JEFF BACKUS at LT

6) BROWNS
ALABAMA
OG CHANCE WARMACK

browns need a QB but they need protection first and get a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round to compete with weeden who would be 30 in his 2nd year in the nfl but warmack would protect whoever is the QB for the browns next year

7) CARDINALS
OKLAHOMA
OT LANE JOHNSON

the cardinals main need was a QB but they got carson palmer who is not the same he used to be but is 10 times better then any qb the cardinals have had since warner and johnson protects palmer and would help the running game too as they got mendenhall (spelled it wrong)

8) BILLS
WEST VIRGINIA
QB GENO SMITH

bills need a QB even after signing kevin kolb who sucked for the cardinals so the bills get a more better QB in geno smith who can help the bills but may not be pro bowl caliber for a few years

9) JETS
WEST VIRGINIA
WR TAVON AUSTIN

the jets need a lot of help but needing a WR who can be a game changer is the #1 choice as they don't have a #1 WR talent or even a #2 WR talent and is full of #3 WR talent and austin may make whoever is the jets QB a lot better then they really are and I think they should give sanchez another shot with the team as if they get austin, it would help sanchez

10) TITANS
BYU
DE EZEKIEL ANSAH

ansah would be the only other top 10 talent I can think of (other then lotulelei or jordan) but ansah is a better player but is raw as lotulelei has a medical issue with his heart but ansah can be a game changer and the titans need that but if a OL drops to them, they would get that but the only one (of the names I had above that could drop to #10) is warmack

(1)
(0)

Chiefs without question would take clowney

(1)
(0)

Cardinals go with Warmack. Any interest expressed in Lane Johnson is smoke and mirrors.

(1)
(0)

Lewan isn't even in this draft lol
